Write to us at support@iqrascroll.com. We usually reply within two working days. It helps to include your iPhone model, iOS version and, for billing questions, the Apple order ID from your receipt.
Subscription
How do I cancel?
On your iPhone open Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions › Iqra Scroll › Cancel Subscription. You can also get there from the app: Settings › Manage subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or current period ends to avoid the next charge. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Will I be charged after the free trial?
Yes, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. If you allowed notifications, the app reminds you 2 days before. The first charge happens at the end of the trial, on the plan you chose, and is billed to your Apple ID.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Sign in, find Iqra Scroll and choose "Request a refund".
I changed phone and lost my subscription
Sign in with the same Apple ID, open Iqra Scroll and tap "Restore Purchases" on the subscription screen or in Settings.
Can I share my subscription with family?
[Decide whether Family Sharing is enabled in App Store Connect, then answer here.]
Reading
How do I change the translation, tafsir or reciter?
Open Settings (the gear icon) › Reading. You can pick one of 13 translations, or "None" to read in Arabic only, a tafsir in English, Arabic or Urdu, and one of five reciters.
The recitation or translation doesn't load
Translations, tafsir and audio come from the internet, so check your connection. For audio, also check that your iPhone isn't in silent mode. If one verse fails while others work, please tell us which one.
How does the khatm progress count?
An ayah counts as read after it has been on screen for about a second and a half, so swiping quickly past verses doesn't count them.
How do I add the widget?
Touch and hold an empty area of your home screen, tap Edit › Add Widget, search for Iqra Scroll and choose "Ayah of the Day". Tapping it opens that ayah in the app.
Prayer
The prayer times don't match my mosque
Prayer times depend on the calculation method. Open Settings › Prayer and choose the method used where you live (for example Muslim World League, ISNA, Umm al-Qura, Diyanet or Karachi) and the Asr method. Small differences from your mosque's timetable are normal; your mosque's times take priority.
I don't get prayer notifications
Tap the bell next to each prayer you want in the Prayer tab and allow notifications when asked. Notifications are set a week ahead and renewed whenever you open the app, so open it at least once a week. Check also iOS Settings › Notifications › Iqra Scroll.
Why does the app need my location?
Only to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction, on your phone. We never receive your location. If you moved city, update it from the Prayer tab or Settings.
The Qibla compass looks wrong
Hold the phone flat, away from magnets, metal and laptop cases, and move it in a figure-eight to calibrate the compass. If your device has no compass, the app shows the angle from north instead.
Where is my prayer log stored?
Only on your phone, for the last 60 days. There's no account or cloud sync, so deleting the app deletes it.
Report a content error
We take the accuracy of the Quran text extremely seriously. If any verse, diacritic, verse number, translation or tafsir looks wrong, email support@iqrascroll.com with the surah and ayah number (for example 2:255), the translation or tafsir you were using and, if you can, a screenshot. We'll check it against the original source and fix it as a priority.
